Dr. Lee W. Wagenhals
Dr. Lee W. Wagenhals is a Research Associate Professor with the System Architectures Laboratory of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering at George Mason University.
His education includes the BS in electrical engineering from Lehigh University (1965), the MS from the Air Force Institute of Technology (1971), and the Ph.D. in Information Technology from George Mason University (2000). He has taught graduate and undergraduate System Engineering courses in Modeling and Analysis of Dynamic Systems and Architecting Large Scale Systems at George Mason University. He has been the organizer and instructor for two short courses on DoD Architectures offered many times a year by AFCEA.
Dr. Wagenhals has over 20 years of experience with the United States Air Force where he served on several assignments in the operations and research and development of C3 systems. He joined George Mason University in 1992 where he has worked on a variety of research efforts related to C3 of various military capabilities and systems, the design and analysis of information systems architectures, and the development of tools and techniques to support Effects Based Operations.
Dr. Wagenhals' research interests include the design and evaluation of C3 and information systems architectures to support capabilities design, experimentation, and acquisition decision making.
